Intra-active identity stories: Naomi Pears-Scown in conversation with Amanda Levey

The interview also circles around Naomi’s doctoral research, how these ideas inform what it is to be a creative arts therapist in particular spaces and places, and how we live as intra-active, entangled beings.

Naomi is a registered Creative Arts Therapist, clinical supervisor, and research supervisor through Whitecliffe College in Auckland, New Zealand. She has ten years of experience working in mental health, and her current practice is with survivors of sexual violence. In her doctoral work, she is interested in the position of Creative Arts Therapy as a profession in Aotearoa, particularly paying attention to the many entangled phenomena involved in becoming a professional here. She is drawn to the natural world for inspiration and creativity in this work.
